Yes… I actually knocked on their door.

I want to tell you a story that still makes our office laugh.
We once had a file where, for the life of us, we could not get a response from the HOA board. No emails returned. No calls returned. Nothing. Just total radio silence.
We followed up. And followed up again. And again.
At some point, it crossed the line from frustrating to… almost comical. And not in the funny way.
Then we realized something: the address we had been sending requests to was actually local to us.
So we had a little internal debate.
Was this the smartest idea? Probably not.Was the lack of response driving us slightly insane? Absolutely.
So I got in my car, drove over there, knocked on the door, and said:
“Hi! I’m here looking for my estoppel.” 😅
And… I left with it that day.
That’s the kind of thing that happens behind the scenes at Elite.
Because title agents shouldn’t have to:
• Track down unresponsive HOA boards
• Chase people who never call back
• Wonder if anyone is actually working the file
• Or explain delays that aren’t their fault
That’s our job.
At Elite, we don’t just send requests and hope for the best. We follow up. We escalate. We get creative. And apparently… sometimes we knock on doors.
If you’ve ever had a file stuck in HOA limbo and thought, “There has to be a better way,” I’d love to talk. Even if it’s just to let us prove ourselves on a file or two.
We’ll do the chasing. You take the credit at the closing table.
Let's Chat. No pressure. No salesy pitch. Just a real conversation.
